Here is a new initiative by the University of Bath Chess Club.
On Sundays throughout the summer – June 28th, July 12th & 26th, and August 9th & 23rd – they will be holding public chess sessions in the square outside the Abbey (near the tourist office).
All equipment, including clocks, is provided for a friendly social game on a warm summer Sunday.

I’m hoping to go to a few, and should be there on July 26th. Looks like it could be quite good fun – come along if you can make one.

All equipment is provided and this year we will soon be having a second giant set, courtesy of Bath city centre management. Come along for a friendly game in the beautiful city of Bath.
